Carolina Quintana

Conference Convenor WPI

She works as a director, playwright, photographer, illustrator, set-designer, teacher and translator, most of these skills self-taught. She obtained her degree as an actress with honors from the Universidad del Desarrollo. Then studied Set Design for Film and TV at Central Saint Martins – University of the Arts London (UK) and carried out a professional practice as Art Director at the TV channel ITV London Studios.

After having been invited to the WPIC in Cape Town, South Africa in 2015, she is at present WPI’s conference convenor (2015-2018).

Quintana has attended more than twenty festivals and national and international conferences. In the areas of Drawing, Photography, Audio-Visual Arts, Music and Theater, she has been awarded with different prizes. Among them, she was one of the 2009 winners of the GIT (Global Innovation Tournament), organized by the Stanford University (U.S.A) and was awarded with the prize for the best short-film in the International Film Festival Cine B  in Santiago de Chile (2014).

From 2010 onwards, she has been working in the different artistic areas mentioned above and teaches as well at diverse Chilean schools and universities.
